Sales of desktops, notebooks and tablets in Brazil reached 4.7 million units in the first quarter of 2013, according to data compiled by IDC and the trade association, Abinee.
By analyzing each item separately, the highlight was the performance of tablet sales, which grew 164% over the same period last year, reaching 1.3 million units. This result for the first three months of 2013 is higher than the total sold in the entire of last year (1.1 million).
In the first quarter, sales reached 1.86 million notebooks and desktops, 1.55 million.
According to the findings, the share of these products in the IT market was divided into: 39.5% for notebooks, desktops and 32.9% to 27.6% for tablets.
